After being picked up directly at your doorstep, begin the tour with a breathtaking view of the iconic Sete Cidades Lake from the viewpoint of Vista do Rei, one of the biggest hotspots in the island.
After that, take a stroll through the Sete Cidades village and learn all about its history, while visiting emblematic monuments, like the São Nicolau Church.
Next, we head to Ribeira Grande, the second-largest city in São Miguel, to have lunch at a traditional restaurant. After that, visit the lush green fields of Gorreana tea plantation – the oldest tea plantation in Europe – while enjoying some free tea in this relaxing setting.
Follow that up with a true hidden gem of São Miguel Island. The Salto do Cabrito Waterfall, a 40m tall waterfall with a natural pool at the bottom.
If Salto do Cabrito makes you feel like taking a dip, and then just wait for our next stop: the Caldeira Velha hot springs. This stunning 13 acre natural monument, with beautiful scenery for a relaxing time, features several sets of natural hot springs. Message us in advance to let us know if you want bathing tickets or visiting tickets.
Finish the tour with a stop at Fogo Lake, the highest lake on the island at more than 500 meters in height. Then, be transported back to your hotel.
