1st Day
Explore the beauty of Lagoa do Fogo on this day trip from Ponta Delgada. Search for local treasures in a ceramics factory, enjoy the Caldeira Velha thermal baths and take pictures of the coast from vantage points with breathtaking views.
Your transportation departs from the comfort of your accommodation in Ponta Delgada and starts by visiting a local pottery factory. See a colorful array of pots, cups, tiles and plates at the Cerâmica Vieira factory.
Travel to Lagoa do Fogo and enjoy its verdant shores and turquoise waters. Head to the Caldeira Velha hot springs for an hour of free time, where you can buy a ticket to soak in the hot springs’ waters.
The guide will give you some recommendations on where to buy lunch before taking a meal break.
Visit the Caldeiras da Ribeira Grande, one of the most sought-after sites by locals for its natural beauty, made up of plants typical of the Laurissilva Forest, and its thermal baths.
2nd Day
After being picked up from your accommodation, start your tour of São Miguel’s beautiful natural landmarks. Discover a region full of beautiful scenery, lush landscapes and fantastic viewpoints. Pay a visit to the Gorreana Tea Plantations, the oldest tea plantations in Europe.
See Europe’s only tea fields and, while you’re at the plantation, you can sample the tea for free and stroll through the fields. Then head to Furnas to explore the valley and take a dip in the hot springs to relax a bit and connect with nature.
After visiting the thermal baths, stop for lunch in Furnas. Try the famous mixed meat stew or many of the other options on the menu.
After lunch, visit the lagoon and wander around a bit to enjoy the surroundings. Once you’ve finished visiting the lagoon, it’s time to head to Vila Franca to see the world-famous islet.
Finish the tour in Ponta Delgada with a visit to the pineapple plantations.
3rd Day
Enjoy magnificent views as you visit picturesque viewpoints, a craft museum and the iconic Sete Cidades Lagoon. Immerse yourself in the rich history of these captivating landscapes along the way.
Our first destination is Sete Cidades, and our journey begins with a visit to the famous Vista do Rei viewpoint. We then explore the parish, situated on the edge of the lagoon, soaking up its natural beauty.
Lagoa das Sete Cidades is considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Portugal and one of the most emblematic views in the Azores.
After our short walk in Sete Cidades, we head to the village of Mosteiros, where we admire the picturesque islets and immerse ourselves in the local culture. A delicious break awaits us at a local restaurant for a traditional lunch.
After lunch, our journey continues through the western part of the island, taking us to the historic village of Capelas. Here, we visit its port, once the departure point for local whaling expeditions.
We end our tour with a visit to the Oficina – Museu das Capelas, where you can see and learn more about fantastic pieces of regional handicraft.
4th Day
After being picked up directly from the comfort of your accommodation, enjoy a van ride to the east coast of the island, to the Ribeira dos Caldeirões Park and let yourself be enchanted by the natural beauty of this park.
Next, visit the town of Nordeste and learn all about its history and culture from our expert guides.
Next, visit a series of iconic viewpoints, such as the Vista dos Barcos, Ponta do Sossego and Ponta da Madrugada viewpoints, which provide stunning views over the north and east coasts of the island.
Next, have lunch in the town of Povoação and taste some of the typical regional flavors that the island’s gastronomy has to offer.
After lunch, visit the town center and enjoy a guided tour of the town’s most important historical sites and enjoy the natural landscapes that surround this parish.
After this, we head to the parish of Vila Franca do Campo to visit the Chapel of Our Lady of Peace, one of São Miguel’s most iconic religious temples. From here, you can see the famous Vila Franca do Campo Islet.
Next, we visit the parish of Caloura, known for its natural swimming pools.
Finally, you’ll be taken to your hotel or another location of your choice.

1º Dia
Explore a beleza da Lagoa do Fogo nesta viagem de um dia a partir de Ponta Delgada. Procure tesouros locais numa fábrica de cerâmica, desfrute dos banhos termais da Caldeira Velha e tire fotografias da costa a partir de miradouros com vistas de cortar a respiração.
Comece com uma visita a uma fábrica de cerâmica local e veja uma variedade colorida de potes, chávenas, azulejos e pratos na fábrica Cerâmica Vieira.
Viaje até à Lagoa do Fogo e desfrute das suas margens verdejantes e águas azul-turquesa. Durante uma hora de tempo livre, dirija-se às termas da Caldeira Velha, onde poderá comprar um bilhete para mergulhar nas águas termais.
O guia dá-lhe algumas recomendações sobre onde comprar o almoço antes de fazer uma pausa para a refeição.
Visita às Caldeiras da Ribeira Grande, um dos locais mais procurados pelos habitantes locais pela sua beleza natural, composta por plantas típicas da Floresta Laurissilva, e pelos seus banhos termais.
2º Dia
Comece o seu passeio pelos belos marcos naturais de São Miguel. Descubra uma região repleta de belas paisagens, paisagens luxuriantes e miradouros fantásticos. Visite as plantações de chá da Gorreana, as mais antigas plantações de chá da Europa.
Veja os únicos campos de chá da Europa e, enquanto estiver na plantação, pode provar o chá gratuitamente e passear pelos campos. Em seguida, dirija-se às Furnas para explorar o vale e dar um mergulho nas águas termais para relaxar um pouco e ligar-se à natureza.
Depois de visitar as termas, pare para almoçar nas Furnas. Experimente o famoso cozido de carne ou muitas das outras opções do menu.
Depois do almoço, visite a lagoa e passeie um pouco para apreciar o ambiente. Terminada a visita à lagoa, é altura de ir até Vila Franca para conhecer o mundialmente famoso ilhéu.
Termine o passeio em Ponta Delgada com uma visita às plantações de ananases.
3º Dia
Desfrute de vistas magníficas enquanto visita miradouros pitorescos, um museu de artesanato e a icónica Lagoa das Sete Cidades. Mergulhe na rica história destas paisagens cativantes ao longo do percurso.
O nosso primeiro destino é Sete Cidades, e a nossa viagem começa com uma visita ao famoso miradouro da Vista do Rei. De seguida, percorremos a freguesia, situada à beira da lagoa, absorvendo a sua beleza natural.
A Lagoa das Sete Cidades é considerada uma das Sete Maravilhas Naturais de Portugal e uma das vistas mais emblemáticas dos Açores.
Depois do nosso pequeno passeio nas Sete Cidades, dirigimo-nos à aldeia dos Mosteiros, onde admiramos os pitorescos ilhéus e mergulhamos na cultura local. Uma deliciosa pausa espera-nos num restaurante local para um almoço tradicional.
Depois do almoço, a nossa viagem continua pela parte ocidental da ilha, levando-nos à aldeia histórica de Capelas. Aqui, visitamos o seu porto, outrora ponto de partida das expedições baleeiras locais.
Terminamos o nosso passeio com uma visita à Oficina – Museu das Capelas, onde poderá ver e aprender mais sobre fantásticas peças de artesanato regional.
4º Dia
Depois de ser recolhido diretamente no conforto do seu alojamento, desfrute de um passeio de carrinha até à costa leste da ilha, até ao Parque da Ribeira dos Caldeirões e deixe-se encantar pela beleza natural deste parque.
De seguida, visite a vila do Nordeste e conheça a sua história e cultura com os nossos guias especializados.
De seguida, visite uma série de miradouros emblemáticos, como o miradouro da Vista dos Barcos, o da Ponta do Sossego e o da Ponta da Madrugada, que proporcionam vistas deslumbrantes sobre as costas norte e leste da ilha.
De seguida, almoce na vila da Povoação e prove alguns dos sabores típicos regionais que a gastronomia da ilha tem para oferecer.
Após o almoço, visita ao centro da vila e visita guiada aos locais históricos mais importantes da vila e apreciação das paisagens naturais que rodeiam esta freguesia.
De seguida, dirigimo-nos à freguesia de Vila Franca do Campo para visitar a Capela de Nossa Senhora da Paz, um dos templos religiosos mais emblemáticos de São Miguel. Daqui, avista-se o famoso Ilhéu de Vila Franca do Campo.
A seguir, visitamos a freguesia da Caloura, conhecida pelas suas piscinas naturais.
Por fim, será conduzido ao seu hotel ou a outro local à sua escolha.
